We sent three email in advance regarding transport from the airport but had no response. On arrival at the airport at 2215, we called them and they eventually sent someone. We were shown to a room overlooking an area where they were clearly building. We were then shown two more rooms - and finally chose one overlooking the pool but with some signs of external work. We were tired and they agreed to make a better offer the following morning. We were the only guests at breakfast, which was good. There was no buffet due to Ramadan but we were well served. The breakfasts were the best part of our stay! We went back to reception, where we were offered a villa over the other side of the bridge - so not close to either the pool or restaurant. As we were just staying one more night, and they said there would be no more work outside, we decided to stay where we were. We asked for information about good guides - it took them so long to come back, we had already made arrangements . However, they continued to work both in the mornings and evenings and we complained again and again. We asked for compensation but the only thing they offered was a free buffet dinner and free transit to the airport. We emailed again asking for the name of the GM but still have not had a reply. Their customer service is applorable. Had they told us in advance that they were refurbishing rooms and external areas during Ramadan, we would have booked elsewhere....we had been on the move for 10 days and were looking for a relaxing couple of day - NO chance of that. VERY DISAPPOINTING
